Book Group report from Andrea

Seven of us met in Thursday night for our summer social.

Lots of chat around some lovely food – we had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury!

As is often the case the chat about the books was secondary but overall The Wedding People got 3.5/5.  Enjoyed it but thought it was a bit far fetched and I at least was confused at the start about Cornwall UK and Cornwall USA

Hope Street got 4/5.  Some thought it was a little depressing to start with and didn’t get into it but those of us who persevered thought it was heartwarming and showed the best of human nature.  It didn’t get 5 because of poor punctuation

We spent too much time on food to choose any summer reads, so happy reading over the holidays and hope we get some good recommendations for when we next meet on 27 August.
