Sunday Service – 7th September 2025

A worship service was held at 10.30am in the church building on Sunday 7 September.  The service was simultaneously broadcast on the Church Facebook page.  You can catch up here, or by following the link below.

The Bible passages are Matthew 5:14-16, and  John 8:12 and Graeme Bell will be leading and preaching. Sandra Bell read these passages, and led in prayer, saying ‘Thank you!’ to God, and praying for lots of people in troubled situations. You can read her prayer here.

In his sermon, Graeme reflected on Jesus as the light of the world, who brings into our darkness the light of love and hope, release, significance, meaning. And in turn, we as Jesus’ followers are called to be lights in the world, to reflect the light of Jesus into other people’s lives. His sermon, the three sections of which you can listen to in the catch-up, left us with questions to reflect on: how can we be as open as possible to the light, and to the guidance which Jesus gives; and how can we so treat and interact with others that the love Jesus has for them becomes visible in us.
