A worship service was held at 10am on Sunday 4th July  broadcast on the Church Facebook page You can watch it here, or by following the link below.

Duncan was preaching about King David, and his call to be the ‘Shepherd King’ of his people.  It was a reminder to us to be patient since in our lives as in David’s life, God takes all the time it takes to ‘grow us’ until we are fully equipped to fulfil God’s dream for us. It was also a reminder of our responsibility to be ‘shepherds’ of one another, and of those we meet, seeking to nurture, encourage, support and guide.  Finally it was a reminder that we are the sheep of a Shepherd God. ‘The Lord is my Shepherd,’ as King David wrote. Duncan suggested that we read through Psalm 23, reflect on how Jesus shepherds us, and learn from that about what  our ‘shepherding’ of those around us might look like

The readings for Sunday were:

2 Samuel 5:1-5, 9-10     Ezekiel 2:1-5    2 Corinthians 12:2-10      Mark 6:1-13
