New from Foodbank

Foodbank Feb 19

We have received the following from Lorna:

“We would like to thank the members and friends of Hilton Church for their very kind donations to Foodbank during 2018. Christmas was a difficult time of year for many people in our communities, particularly for those who were really struggling financially, to the point that they didn’t even have the resources to buy food.

All of our Foodbanks in Highland were busy in the lead up to Christmas, and our Glebe Street Foodbank in Inverness supported 144 people in the week before Christmas alone! Without your support, Blythswood Care literally wouldn’t be able to run the Foodbank Project, so, thank you for your part in this.”

Items the Foodbank are particularly short of at the moment are; Tins of ham (small), Tins of mince/stew, Washing powder (small), Washing up liquid (small)

Donations of supermarket ‘Bags for Life’ are also extremely useful.

Donations can be placed in the container in the Church vestibule or dropped off at the new warehouse on Glebe Street.
