A lovely laughter-filled evening – Book Group report

Just to say that we met last Thursday and had a lovely laughter filled evening as usual. We discussed "The girl who saved the king of Sweden" and as usual it received a mixed review! Some gave it 4/5 while others could not get into it at all! Very few had read The Book Thief so we did not discuss it much! This month we are reading "The Kabul Beauty School" by Deborah Rodriguez and /or "Summer's Child" by Diane Chamberlain We meet again on Thursday

Highland Foodbank needs you!!!

The Highland Foodbank requires volunteers to help at their next supermarket collection on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th July from 10am until 5pm at both Tesco Extra stores in Inverness.  They require a minimum of 11 volunteers for each day at each store, and are looking for people who are willing to give two hours of their time to hand out shopping lists to customers, asking them to consider donating an item of food from the list.  They also require

An invitation to hear about “The Vicar of Baghdad”

At Dingwall Free Church on Friday 20th June at 7.30pm. St Georges Church Baghdad is involved in distributing food aid to destitute families (irrespective or regilion or politics)  It has it's own clinic treating over 2000 patients each month free of charge and it welcomes everyone. David Post is a retired vicar and has been cycling up and down the UK in order to encourage support and raise money for the Canon Andrew White's Foundation for Relief
