Afternoon Tea for Over 60s: a report from Donald of Wednesday’s meeting

The Christmas version of Afternoon Teas on Wednesday was quite an occasion. Not just from the Christmas themed table and fayre presentation but by the performance of the Hilton School Choir. .

We were entertained with music re-living songs sung during the World Wars as well as Seasonal Carols. The quality singing, harmonising and obvious enjoyment shown by the Choir made an occasion that could have been well extended.

Great applause and clapping was given by the audience after each song acknowledging and appreciating a classic performance.

After the music was concluded, we were blessed with an exchange of conversations as the Choir members mingled and exchanged words with those present.

A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable occasion.

We did take pictures of the choir, with the choir members’ and teachers’ permission, but it’s best not to publish these on-line, so here are some pics of the rest of us!
