Sunday 21st February: Livestream service
This morning’s worship service was broadcast at 10am. You can watch it here.
Shona reflects with the children on the promise God gave to Noah, symbolised by the rainbow. It’s a sign that God is a promise-keeping God. Every time we see a rainbow, it’s a reminder that in the storms we face, God is with us.
Duncan speaks about the temptation Jesus faced ‘in the wilderness’, just after his baptism. Jesus was sustained in his struggle with temptation, Duncan suggests, by reflecting on what he had heard from heaven as he was baptised: ‘‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’ In the same way we in our struggles, our journeys through the darkness, are encouraged by the reminders of the presence and love for us of a God whose precious children we are.
