News from the Book Group

Wee report from Shona about last week’s Book Group meeting

Hi everyone,

We had a lovely catch up last Thursday night on Zoom. Sorry to those who were not able to join us but had hoped to!

We covered lots of interesting topics of conversation and then got round to discussing our books.

Snow Garden and other stories  by Rachel Joyce was an easy read. We enjoyed the fact that all stories were connected. Some stories were enjoyed more than others but it was nice to read over Christmas. It received 3.5/5.

Mr Dickens and his Carol  by Samantha Silva was again chosen as a Christmas read. We enjoyed learning about life in Dickens times and how much he influenced Christmas traditions. The story was easy to read but not all that believable in parts! It got 3/5.

For next month we have chosen :

The Binding  by Bridget Collins and/or

The house by the Loch  by Kirsty Wark
