Something Clicked – a poem by Simon Armitage for National Poetry Day

by | Oct 1, 2020 | News and reports

Today is National Poetry Day

BT has commissioned a poem from the Poet Laureate Simon Armitage: it’s called ‘Something clicked’ and it’s a call to us, amid lockdown, to a more poetic, intuitive, awe-filled way of life It contrasts the hassles to online engagement with the spontaneous joy of connecting with beauty, richness and wonder – especially the beauty, richness and wonder of our unique selves.

Enjoy this poem! Let it nourish you! Reflect on it from a Christian perspective! And plan to come to Rhymes Recollected on Monday 5th on the Church Facebook page at 2pm when we’ll be sharing more life-enhancing poems.
