Phil Gunn called to Roskeen Parish Church

by | Sep 6, 2020 | People

You’ll remember that Phil Gunn preached as sole nominee at Roskeen Parish Church last Sunday.  We’re delighted to announce that the result of the ballot is through, and Phil has been appointed as Roskeen’s new minister!

Here’s Rosleen Parish Church’s announcement:

“After Phil Gunn preached as Sole Nominee at last week’s Service, the votes were counted and the result was overwhelmingly in favour of appointing Phil Gunn as Minister of Rosskeen Parish Church. On the basis of this result Phil has accepted the post; and subject to the approval of Presbytery will be duly appointed.”

Congratulations Phil – it’s great that you will be ministering in a part of the country you have come to love.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and with Clare, Anna, Ben and Beth as you face this new challenge!

Phil will let us know details of the ordination service (which is likely to be on-line) once this has been arranged.  His start date at Roskeen will be known after Presbytery meets on Tuesday evening, but it’s likely to be later in the autumn.
