Giving to Hilton Church

by | Apr 18, 2020 | News and reports

Over the last 4 weeks we have been unable to worship within the Church building on a Sunday.

One of the implications of that change is that we have lost 40% of our monthly giving, which normally comes through the Offering Plate.

It’s clear that as a congregation we will not be able to sustain the current level of ministry locally for an extended period, without a significant increase in our level of income.

Here is the IMPORTANT UPDATE issued by the Congregational Board within the last few days. This letter, written byIain Ross the Chair of the Board, explains the current financial situation in more detail, and lists four ways you can use to help the Church financially, including on-line donation using the link below.

The letter also reminds us how important it is for those of us paying tax to make use of the Gift Aid scheme which can  add 25% to the value of donations – there’s a printable Gift Aid form here.

Iain’s letter concludes ‘We are grateful that in the midst of such a challenging time, our faith in Christ gives us a hope that holds us even in the midst of the very real concerns that we all have. I wish you good health and peace in these difficult days, and look forward to the day when we can all meet again, face to face.’
